ARTICLE ___ POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE

The ____________ Police Officers Association shall establish and maintain a Political Action Committee (PAC) until such time as the majority of the voting membership votes to abolish such committee.

The Committee shall be comprised of members of the Executive Board of the Association and three (3) persons appointed by the Association President from the General Membership. The Association Executive Board shall ratify the General Membership appointments.

PAC Dues:

The ____________ Police Officers Association shall fund its PAC from a voluntary and pre-designated contribution rate of eight dollars per member, monthly, for Active and Associate members.

The funds shall be deposited into the Association PAC (Political Action Committee) account.

Participation in the Association PAC fund is voluntary. Any member wishing not to contribute to the PAC fund shall notify the Association Treasurer of their desire not to contribute to the Association's PAC fund. In that event, the eight dollars (normally designated for the PAC) of the member's monthly dues shall then be placed into the Association's General Fund and used in accordance with the operating expenses of the Association.

____________ Police Officers Association shall establish a checking and/or savings account in the name of:

1. ____________ Police Officers Association (PAC) Political Action Fund

The account shall require (2) signatures comprising either of the President, Vice President, secretary or Treasurer to disperse any funds.

The Association Treasurer shall comply with all local, state and federally mandated reporting procedures regarding reporting any contributions from the PAC account
